Application
method of production
A pentafluorobenzonitrile production method is disclosed in CN105732429A. The following characteristics describe the raw ingredients used: pentachlorobenzonitrile, anhydrous potassium fluoride, and benzonitrile:polydiethanol=1.0-1.1:5.0-5.2: 23-25: 0.2-0.3.
(1) The molar ratio of anhydrous potassium fluoride, pentachlorobenzonitrile, and benzonitrile to polyethylene glycol is 1.0-1.1:5.0-5.2:23-25:0.2-0.3 In the chemical reaction kettle, nitrile, anhydrous potassium fluoride, and benzonitrile are added. The mixture is then heated to 230–250°C while being stirred. Polyethylene glycol is now added, and after stirring, the temperature is kept there for 28 to 30 hours. To create a liquid mixture, stop stirring and allow it to cool to room temperature;
(2) Transfer the liquid mixture to the centrifuge in the chemical reaction kettle. Pentafluorobenzonitrile is the solid that has been separated. The final product is then obtained by sending the dried material to a pulverizer, where it is crushed into powder after 1.5 to 2.0 hours at a temperature between 60 and 70°C.
This production method's salient features are:
1. Decide on the component ratio; 2. Decide on the right temperature. Whenever feasible, the temperature should be as low as possible. 3. The reaction time must be chosen to make the reaction more complete in order to obtain the highest yield; pentafluorobenzonitrile produced using the above formula and process has the advantages of being simple to produce, inexpensive to produce, and pollution-free. If lowering the temperature is unable to produce better reaction effects, the temperature can be raised to obtain a higher yield. The product is a significant pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediate, with a yield of up to 78% and a content of up to 95%.
