Application
Method of preparation
N-tributylamine is fluorinated in liquid anhydrous hydrofluoric acid to create perfluorotributylamine. The carbon steel test electrolytic cell model Simons has a 0.66L capacity, a mass percentage of 5% to 10% N-tributylamine in the electrolytic cell, and a constant electrolysis current density of 0.03A/cm2. Distillation of the produced crude perfluorotributylamine yielded a target product with a purity of 98.0% to 99.5%. It is also possible to extract two valuable compounds from the electrolytic gas: octafluoropropane and perfluorobutane.
