2,4-Difluorobenzoic acid is a White to light yellow crystal powder.
Application
Preparation:
The reaction vessel should be filled with 3 mol of 60% mass fraction 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol solution, 2 mol of 90% mass fraction 2,4-difluoro-6-bromo-cumylbenzene solution, and water solution. Raise the temperature of the solution to 40°C, agitate 600 mL at 110 rpm, and then add 5 mol of 80% boron trifluoride butyl ether solution with a mass fraction of Hold for 90 minutes. Upon completion of the reaction, concentrate under decreased pressure, add 300 ml of 1-pentanol solution with an 86% mass fraction, filter, bring the filtrate's pH down to 4, precipitate crystals, filter, and add 91% mass fraction 4-methyl-1-pentanol.
For a 92% yield, recrystallize in 2-pentanone solution and dehydrate using an anhydrous sodium sulfate dehydrating agent to get 290.72g of 2,4-difluorobenzoic acid.
