Application

The chemical compound 2-fluorobenzenenitrile is a member of the aryl fluoride group. It serves as an intermediary in the manufacture of both insecticides and pharmaceuticals. 2. Aldol cyclization products are produced when phosphorus pentachloride and fluorobenzenenitrile react. Trifluoroacetic acid is typically added to the reaction solution to acidify it. After heating the mixture, 2-fluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride is produced, which can react with amines or ammonia to form desirable compounds. It has been demonstrated that this substance is hazardous to animals and can cause bladder cancer. Furthermore, it raises blood pressure and interferes with DNA duplexes by generating covalent adducts at pH 7.2 with guanine bases. Additionally, it attaches itself to cell receptors that control blood pressure.
