Application
Method of synthesis: Fill a 1L glass reaction kettle with 404 grams of DMF and 202.3 grams of sodium acetate. After bringing the temperature down to between 50 and 55 degrees Celsius, add 106.0 grams of pentafluorobenzoic acid. For six hours, the temperature was raised and refluxed. When the reaction solution's raw material content falls below 80C and is less than 1.0%, HPLC can identify it. To bring the kettle's pH down below 1, add 350.0 Chemicalbook grams of 30% concentrated hydrochloric acid. After that, it refluxed for five hours at a higher temperature. The lowest organic stuff is separated by steam distillation once the reflux is finished. After the lower organic component was distilled, 74.0 grams of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenol were obtained; these crystals cooled and became white.The lower organic matter was distilled to obtain 74.0 grams of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenol, which turned into white crystals after cooling, with a yield of 89% and an HPLC purity of 99.9%.
