Application
There are several applications of 2,5-Difluorophenol, including:
1.The starting material, p-difluorobenzene, is subjected to two-step processes of LDA hydrogen extraction and hydrolysis: Simple operation, mild reaction conditions, easy-to-obtain raw ingredients, little side reactions, and industrial production suitability characterize this process. The yield is 84.5% overall.
2.Reaction of sulfuryl fluoride gas with 3,5-difluorophenol: At room temperature, combine 3,5-difluorophenol, triethylamine, and 1,4-dioxane. Then, slowly bubble through a sulfuryl fluoride balloon. It introduces sulfuryl fluoride gas. To acquire the desired product, acidify and extract using strong hydrochloric acid after a 24-hour reaction. Then, purify using silica gel column chromatography.
