A nickel tube vertical reactor with an inner diameter of 36 mm was used to study the fluorination kinetics of I. CoF3 was poured into the reactor, which had a 300 mm bed height. Thermocouple bags should be arranged along the reactor axis. The whole bed's temperature doesn't change by more than 3°C. The mixture of I (25wt%), C3F7)3N (75wt%), and fluorine is delivered from the batcher to the mixing evaporator, a 500mm nickel tube with a 36mm diameter that has controlled heaters, at a specific and steady pace. The surplus fluorine in relation to stoichiometry is not more than 20%. The reaction mixture condenses in a trap cooled by liquid nitrogen after passing through a catalyst bed (particle size 0.035-0.05 mm) from the evaporator. Following the completion of the procedure, the trap was allowed to come to room temperature, weighed, and GLC was used to examine the reaction products.At temperatures of 150, 180, 220, and 250°C, experiments were conducted. Plotting the activation energy and fluorination rate constant against concentration over time at -150, 180, 220, and 250°C. Lastly, gas chromatography was used to purify the molecule that was the title, perfluorotripropylamine. 96.0% yield. Figure 1 depicts the synthesis route.
