Preparation:
Reaction between cyanating agent and 2,4,5-trifluorobenzyl chloride in an ionic liquid
Using this process, a cyanating agent and 2,4,5-trifluorobenzyl chloride are reacted in an ionic liquid. It is possible to obtain 2,4,5-trifluorophenyl acetonitrile with a purity higher than 99.8% by purifying procedure. This process is straightforward to industrialize, has mild reaction conditions, inexpensive and readily available raw ingredients, and is both economical and environmentally beneficial.
