Application
N,N'bis(2,2,6,6tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl)1,3 benzene dicarboxamide is made using a method that is classified as multifunctional polyamide stabilizer preparation.
By combining 2,2,6,6 tetramethyl piperidinamine, isophthalic acid, water, and heteropolyacid and carrying out a dehydration reaction, N,N'bis(2,2,6,6 tetramethyl 4 piperidinamine) (aldyl) 1,3 benzene dicarboxamide is created. N,N' bis(2,2,6,6 tetramethyl 4 piperidinyl) 1,3 benzene dicarboxamide is prepared directly in the present invention by a dehydration reaction that is catalyzed by heteropolyacid. Formamide has the advantages of having a high yield, a pure product, and no additional reaction byproducts save water. The process is safe for the environment and is effective for industrial manufacturing. After the reaction is complete, the catalyst of the present invention can be used again immediately without requiring to be treated.
