Application

Pump-driven single-phase fluid loop technology is an active thermal control system that uses pump-driven working fluid circulation to collect, transmit, and dissipate heat. Perfluorotriethylamine is the most widely utilized working fluid in pump-driven single-phase fluid circuits. Because of its low pour point and chemical stability, perfluorotriethylamine is a perfluorinated inert liquid that can be used in spacecraft. Owing to production process restrictions, the currently used perfluorotriethylamine is often only around 95% pure and comprises other chemicals in addition to its primary component, perfluorotriethylamine ((c2f5)3n);Usually, perfluorotriethylamine is purified by multiple distillations, in which the working fluid is heated to yield different components in different boiling point intervals (i.e., boiling ranges) according to the variations in the boiling points of the different components. However, this strategy is limited by the little variation in boiling points between perfluorotriethylamine and other components. A very low yield, limited production efficiency, and high cost are some of its disadvantages.
