Application

One reagent that can be used to create glucuronide conjugates is nonafluorobutanesulfonyl chloride. It is created by reacting hydrogen fluoride with an alkynyl molecule while a base is present. Colorless and polymorphic, nonafluorobutanesulfonyl chloride interacts with water to produce hydrochloric acid and hydrogen fluoride. It can be used as a solvent for organic solvents such perfluorinated chemicals and nitrobenzene. Due to its capacity to inhibit reverse transcriptase activity, nonafluorobutanesulfonyl chloride has demonstrated anti-HIV efficacy in vitro.
