Perfluorotributylamine
C12F27N
CAS NO.311-89-7
Perfluorotributylamine is thought to be a superior artificial blood substitute since it is stable, non-toxic, biologically inert, and has good oxygen-carrying and carbon dioxide-excretion properties. Furthermore, research has demonstrated that perfluorotributylamine and fibrin hydrogel can be combined to create a nerve conduit. The following are the precise steps: Step 1: Create a collagen-chitosan nerve conduit that is microporous and degradable; In step two, the microporous degradable collagen-chitosan nerve conduit made in step one is cross-linked and sterilized using a mixture of genipin and ethanol;construct the perfluorotributylamine emulsion in step three; oxygenate and clean the water-soluble emulsion in step four; and then construct the perfluorotributylamine and fiber protein hydrogel composite nerve conduit in step five. The preparation technique described in this research addresses the issue that existing neural scaffolds have a poor repair impact because of early hypoxia of local injured tissue, which slows down nerve growth and results in poor functional recovery in the innervated area.
Application
Perfluorotributylamine is used in electronic applications viz. liquid burn-in, testing and vapor phase soldering processes. It acts as an indicator fluid to check the leakage and heat transfer fluid for thermal shock testing. It is an active component in fluosol, which is a substitute for artificial blood and fluorinert coolant liquids. Further, it is used as a solvent for computer disc drive lubrication. In addition to this, it is used as a calibration chemical in gas chromatography.
