Diazotization reaction; the other reactions are more common and simple to understand.

Procedure for the experiment: Fill a three-necked flask with 2,4-difluorochlorobenzene, methanol, trilaurylamine (TDA), and activated carbon supported metal palladium (5% Pd/C) catalyst. Turn the temperature up to 100°C, add hydrogen, and let the mixture react for three hours. Following the completion of the reaction, the product is heated to a filtering temperature, diluted Na2CO3 solution and water wash until it becomes neutral, and then it is distilled to produce 1,3-difluorobenzene, a colorless liquid with a boiling point of 83°C and a water content of 98.5%. Gas chromatography was used in the experiment to examine the reaction product content in each step.
