Ammonium fluoride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NH4F. It is an ionic compound, a white crystalline powder, easily deliquescent, soluble in water, methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in acetone. It is mainly used as a glass etchant. Wood and wine preservatives, disinfectants, analytical reagents, zirconium drip reagents, fiber mordants and reagents for extracting rare elements.
